We’re delighted to receive two Commendations at the 2025 IESANZ NZ Chapter Lighting Awards—recognition of our commitment to design excellence across the Wellington Waterfront and Shed 5.

  • Wellington Waterfront (Tug Wharf, Taranaki Street Wharf, Te Papa Promenade): a large‑scale smart‑lighting strategy delivering safer nights, adaptive event capability, and a co‑designed cultural narrative that belongs to this place.

  • Shed 5(built 1887): a heritage‑sensitive lighting scheme balancing Grade A conservation with modern performance—warm, low‑glare optics, facial recognition visibility, and Casambi control integrated with the waterfront lighting control system.

Together, these projects show how lighting can shape public life—enhancing safety, amenity, character, and flexibility along Wellington’s most used pedestrian spine.

Interested in how smart, heritage-aware lighting can transform your public realm? Contact the S&T Lighting team to discuss your precinct or event strategy.
