Stephenson & Turner recently attended the blessing of the newly expanded receiving office at Arohata Women’s Prison, alongside Arohata Prison staff, representatives from Ngāti Toa Rangatira and the wider project team.

The project supports the installation of a new full-body scanner to improve safety for staff and prisoners, and includes upgrades to receiving and processing areas, secure cells, staff offices and facilities, laundry spaces, a wellbeing room, and new storage and kitchen areas.

The blessing marked an important milestone and acknowledged the collaborative effort of everyone involved in delivering this project within a secure operational environment.
